It was the summer and I believe Randy had just finishing Junior year in high School. I told him Randy, I think it's time you go out and get a summer job. All his friends already found jobs. He said, "Dad let me try to make some money at home I don't want to go and work at a job that doesn't pay much. If I can't make enough money I'll go out and get a job."

Well, he decided to rent some servers and have people pay to put there websites on his server. He is very good at marketing himself and his ideas. He decided to charge people I believe fifty dollars for a three year contract to host their sites. Needless to say at that price business started to roll in. He was bringing in a minimum of five grand a week.

I remember some of his friends were down in the den and one of the girl's said to him Randy when are you going to go out and get a job and all the guy's were laughing because she had no clue at how much he was bringing in. But he had a lot of customers and was renting a lot of servers so he had some stressed out days.

Like most of the dot-com businesses it seemed like a shaky business concept. In the back of my mind I knew if business slowed down he would end up paying for these servers out of pocket for three years minimum. Well, Randy some how managed to make a ton of cash that summer and then sold the company along with all his customers to another company before the dot com crash. They honored his customer contracts and kept them online for the three years.
